|
As part of the second-wave of team signings, Northville, Michigan-native Eric Giosa joined the Toledo Walleye in early September of 2009. The 25-year-old center is no stranger to Toledo, spending time here both on and off the ice. After leading Detroit Catholic Central High School to state championships from 2000 to 2003, Giosa played two seasons in Toledo with the Toledo IceDiggers in the NAHL. He had a break-out season in 2004-2005, recording 22 goals and 24 points in 50 games with the IceDiggers. His performance earned him a selection to the 2005 NAHL All-Star Game. Giosa was also active in the Toledo community, attending Learn to Read and Learn to Skate programs in the area.
