Tony Arambula is a Phoenix man who was shot six times by a police officer who mistook him for an intruder. Arambula found an armed gunman in his home on September 17, 2008, and called 911. The officer who arrived saw Arambula pointing his own gun at the intruder and fired.In October of 2009, Arambula filed suit against the Phoenix Police Department, officer Brian Lilly, his supervisor Sean Coutts, the city of Phoenix and the 911 workers asking for $5.75 million in damages.
