National Basketball Associtaion legend Kareem Abdul Jabbar was diagnosed with leukemia in December of 2008. He revealed the rare form of cancer on November 9, 2009.Since the diagnosis, Abdul-Jabbar has been taking medicine daily. His doctors say he has a positive long-term prognosis.
