Actress Lindsay Lohan at a screening of "Inglourious Basterds"
A taped telephone conversation between Michael and Dina Lohan, the parents of actress Lindsay Lohan, released by RadarOnline.com today suggests the actress was in a secret relationship with actor Heath Ledger just before his tragic January 2008 death.
On the recording, Dina Lohan vents her frustrations with Lindsay's behavior, including drinking alcohol and taking Adderall, a prescription drug used to treat ADD, stating, "Because when she's drunk or takes an Adderall with it she will do something like Heath Ledger did in a second without thinking." Dina Lohan goes on to tell Michael, "And she was dating Heath when he died. I don't know if you know that, but I know cause I would drop her off and they were friends very, very close, ok?" She also explains how Ledger's death affected Lindsay, stating "That f-f----d her up." Lindsay Lohan has constantly been in the news, both before and after Ledger's death, dealing with personal, professional and substance abuse problems, which Dina blames on her personal struggles, including the death of Ledger and another close friend. Heath Ledger was found dead in his Manhattan apartment on the afternoon of January 22, 2008, with numerous prescription drugs in his system. His death, at the age 28, was ruled accidental.
